Frontier Airlines Launches New Routes: San Juan to Barbados and Santiago, and Charlotte to Miami

Frontier Airlines expands its network with new services from San Juan to Barbados and Santiago, Dominican Republic, and from Charlotte to Miami, starting summer 2024.

Frontier Airlines, recognized as America's Greenest Airline, is set to broaden its network with the introduction of several new routes from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Charlotte, North Carolina, beginning in the summer of 2024. The airline will launch nonstop services connecting Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan with Cibao International Airport in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, and Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados. Additionally, a new route from Charlotte Douglas International Airport to Miami International Airport will be inaugurated shortly thereafter.

Expanding Frontier's Network

Service Details from San Juan:

• To Santiago, Dominican Republic: Starts June 14, 2024, operating three times a week with introductory fares of $59.
• To Barbados: Commences on July 3, 2024, with three weekly flights also starting at $59.

Charlotte to Miami Connection:

• Start Date: July 5, 2024
• Frequency: Three times a week
• Promotional Fare: Starting at $29

Josh Flyr, Vice President of Network and Operations Design at Frontier Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion. "With these new routes, we are poised to provide more affordable and convenient travel options. This expansion is part of our ongoing effort to meet the increased demand and enthusiasm for travel this coming summer," said Flyr.

Promotional Offers and Membership Benefits

Frontier is celebrating the launch of these routes with promotional fares available until April 29, 2024. These offers are applicable for travel from June 14 through October 31, 2024, with certain blackout dates.

In addition to these new services, Frontier has introduced 'UpFront Plus'—an upgraded seating option providing extra legroom and a guaranteed empty middle seat in the first two rows of the aircraft. This new offering is part of Frontier's strategy to enhance passenger comfort and satisfaction.

Furthermore, the airline’s revamped frequent flyer program, FRONTIER Miles, continues to offer substantial rewards. Customers can earn miles with every dollar spent on Frontier services, with various membership levels multiplying the benefits significantly, including priority boarding and waived fees for changes made in advance.
