Air France Introduces Free Ultra-High-Speed Wi-Fi on All Aircraft

Airlines & Airports

Air France is set to transform its onboard connectivity with the introduction of free ultra-high-speed Wi-Fi across its entire fleet starting in 2025. This initiative marks a significant upgrade in the airline's service offerings, providing passengers with a “ground-like” internet experience at no additional cost.

Enhanced Connectivity for Passengers

The new Wi-Fi service will be accessible to customers by simply logging into their Flying Blue account, the loyalty program of the Air France-KLM Group. Over time, this state-of-the-art connectivity will be rolled out on all Air France aircraft, replacing the existing Wi-Fi service.

Partnership with Starlink

To implement this advanced connectivity, Air France has partnered with Starlink, the world leader in satellite-based internet. Utilizing the largest constellation of satellites in low Earth orbit, Starlink promises high-speed, low-latency internet access, even in the most remote locations. This partnership aims to provide passengers with a stable, fast, and secure online experience.

Stay Connected During Flights

With this new service, travelers can easily stay connected during their flights, enabling them to keep in touch with friends and family, access live news updates, play online video games, and stream movies and series. The service will be available on smartphones, tablets, and laptops, allowing each customer to connect multiple devices simultaneously.

Simple Account Access

To access the free Wi-Fi service, passengers must log into their Flying Blue account. For those who do not have an account, they can create one onboard free of charge in just a few clicks.

Gradual Rollout Starting Summer 2025

Beginning in the summer 2025 season, Air France will begin equipping its entire fleet, including regional aircraft, with this cutting-edge technology. During the transition period, the airline will maintain its current connectivity options on planes that are not yet upgraded, including a complimentary “Message Pass” for Flying Blue members and a paid option for additional services.

Continued Commitment to Passenger Experience

Air France is committed to enhancing the in-flight experience for its passengers by ensuring that they remain connected and entertained throughout their journeys. As the airline progresses with this rollout, it reaffirms its dedication to providing top-notch service and modern amenities for all travelers.
