Arik Air expands and connects Nigeria and Gabon
Starting February 12 Arik Air introduces new service that will operate between Lagos and Port Harcourt, Nigeria and Libreville, Gabon
The thrice weekly Lagos-Port Harcourt-Libreville flight service will be the first 2016 international launch of any Nigerian airline.
As Arik Air, the largest carrier in West and Central Africa, celebrates its 10 years anniversary this year, other new destinations are expected to be introduced into the company's schedule in the months to come.
Arik Air’s Managing Director/Executive Vice President, Mr. Chris Ndulue declared:
“This is Arik Air’s 10th year of operation and a perfect time to introduce new destinations. Connecting Lagos and Port Harcourt with Libreville is a perfect synergy because the three cities are important trade centers in West/Central Africa. Travelers on this route have a lot to look forward to in terms of safety and quality service which is a hallmark of Arik Air.”
Arik Air is now the only carrier that connects Nigeria and Gabon via direct flights.
The Gabonese city of Libreville, also an important trade center in the Gulf of Guinea, is the airline's second Central African destination and the 13th international one.
Arik Air plans to further expand its services across the African continent by adding more routes and connections between key destinations in the area during 2016.
