Arnold Schwarzenegger sends emotional message to Russian citizens

"Help me spread the truth", the actor and former California Governor pledged in an impressive video message he recently posted on his Twitter account.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has asked all Russian nationals, both civilians and soldiers, not to listen to Kremlin’s disinformation regarding the devastating war in Ukraine.

He decided to send his “message through various different channels" with the hope that the atrocities committed by the Russian military actions in Ukraine would be unveiled and seen clearly by the Russian people.

"Ukraine did not start this war. Neither did nationalists or Nazis. Those in power in the Kremlin started this war.

"There are things that are going on in the world that are being kept from you, terrible things that you should know about.

"I know the Russian people are not aware such things are happening, so I urge the Russian people and the Russian soldiers in Ukraine to understand the propaganda and the disinformation that you are being told. I ask you to help me spread the truth”, Schwarzenegger said.

The former Gov. tried to explain that the Russian government did not disclosed the real reasons for the war, as it manipulated and "lied not only to its citizens but to its soldiers".

Arnold Schwarzenegger ended the video message with a message to the Russians who put their lives at stake and stood against the ongoing invasion, despite all risks.

“The world has seen your bravery. We know that you have suffered the consequences of your courage. You have been arrested, you have been jailed and you have been beaten. You are my new heroes. You have the true heart of Russia”, he concluded.

The 9 minute video recently posted on social media currently has more than 16 million views and is heavily shared across all channels.
