British Airways Upgrades Its Onboard Entertainment

The carrier is providing passengers with a broad variety of new media options to enjoy throughout their journey.
With over seventy-five entire box-sets and twenty iconic franchises now accessible on board for August, British Airways anticipates more than one million passengers will view content on its long-haul flights.
In addition to more than fifty recent releases, British Airways passengers who book through the Paramount+ partnership will have access to a variety of original films. Many popular blockbuster films are packaged together in convenient box-sets for in-flight viewing.
Fans of audio may relax and listen to one of more than 770 available tracks. The airline offers a variety of British Original material as well.
Families taking a trip in the month of August will have their pick of more than 26 Kid's Classics, including such favourites as Scoob!, Peppa Pig, and Paw Patrol. To help break up a lengthy flight, the airline has also introduced 20 new programs to its 'Summer Fun' category.
The airline now offers WiFi access for customers who prefer to stream video on their own devices, with a variety of packs including chatting and 'browse and stream' choices. The vast majority of the airline's planes are already wired for WiFi, and the service is being rolled out to both the long- and short-haul fleets gradually.
“We know just how important it is to provide a great range of entertainment for our customers to enjoy during their journeys, and it’s one of the things they look forward to most when they fly with us, so we’ve been working hard to source new content, doubling the amount available at our customers’ fingertips.
"We’ve partnered with brilliant brands like Paramount+ and even created a dedicated British Original channel. From a newly released blockbuster film to the latest podcast, there’s something for everyone to enjoy during their flight this summer”, commented the airline’s CCO Calum Laming.
In addition, on flights departing from London Heathrow to Delhi and Mumbai, customers in all cabin classes will now be offered full supplementary hot meals, and those in Club World will have access to a selection of chilly snacks from the Club Kitchen.
British Airways has also made improvements to the food and drink offered in its airport lounges, with a focus on the airports in London. These upgrades include a wider range of hot breakfasts, afternoon tea, and Great British Picnic delicacies. In addition to the new drinks and regionally created beers, the airline has also expanded its à la carte First Dining menus in its US lounges to include local favourites and a British Original option.
