Bulgarian Seaside to Reach More Tourists this Summer
Bulgarian Black Sea resorts attempted to highlight their natural beauty at this year Tourism Fair in Berlin, hoping to attract tourists lost by Tunisia and Egypt, Greece and Turkey as a result of the terrorist attacks, reports Reuters.
The last year attacks against former established tourist destinations such as Tunisian resorts or the capital of France, Paris, shook the confidence of tourists that are now trying to focus on other kind of holiday destinations. Also, as Turkey is lately facing a series of attacks launched by Islamists and Kurdish separatists and Greece is at the forefront of migrants’ crisis, there are some countries to become the beneficiaries of the international turmoil. Spain, Portugal and Bulgaria are considered to be lower-risk countries.
Although it is not a conventional choice, Bulgaria holds many secrets and can be a pleasant surprise even for the most sophisticated tourists. They can choose one of the resorts of the Black Sea coast, on nearly 380 kilometers of coastline, mountain resorts increasingly famous and frequented even by famous athletes, perfectly preserved medieval towns or cosmopolitan experiences in the country’s capital, Sofia.
Online searches for flights to Varna and Burgas, the main airports situated near the most famous resorts of Bulgaria increased by 13% respectively 15% in the first two months of this year, reports Reuters. More, the reservations made at the Tourism Fair in Berlin for this summer holidays in Bulgaria are 12% higher than they were in the same period last year.
Bulgaria presents itself as an ideal country for family vacations at low prices, and most importantly, very safe.
