Dubai - Rove Hotels To Fund The Planting Of 28,000 Trees Just In Time For COP28
Rove Hotels will work with W&A Consular and Eden Reforestation Projects to carry out the campaign.
Via its latest initiative, Rove Hotels in Dubai will plant a tree for every guest who books a room at one of its properties. Together, W&A Consular and Eden Reforestation Projects will implement the environmental effort in sync with COP28 regulations.
The Chief Operating Officer of Rove Hotels, Paul Bridger, made the following statement:
“We are thrilled to announce this initiative in which we will plant at least 28,000 trees by the end of the year. This project reflects our determination to impact the environment and support the UAE’s efforts positively. By planting trees for every booking, we aim to inspire others to join us in the fight against climate change.”
The fact that Rove Expo 2020 is the only hotel near the COP28 venue only serves to increase its popularity. The hotel, which has 3,500 rooms in the city of Dubai, has publicly stated its intention to aid the United Arab Emirates in its efforts to create a sustainable future.
As William Fison, founder of W&A Consular World, further explained, this is a big step ahead for the goal established at COP26, respectively #GreenAtSource.
The ongoing campaign is the largest donation made so far to the non-profit organization working to plant one million trees by the COP28. The hashtag #GreenAtSource can be searched online for further details.
As a result of substantial interest from expected summit participants, the sustainability campaign will run from November 30 through December 12.
