Dubai International Chamber Expands European Footprint with Opening of New Office in Paris

Destinations & Tourism

The Dubai International Chamber has ceremoniously unveiled a fresh representative office in the vibrant city of Paris.

This auspicious move is poised to invigorate trade and investment ties between Dubai and France, solidifying its foothold in the European landscape and elevating its global network to a grand total of 24 representative offices spanning across five continents.

The inauguration was graced by the presence of notable dignitaries, including H.E. Hend Al Otaiba, the UAE Ambassador to France, and Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of Global Markets at Dubai Chambers. Accompanied by esteemed members of the French business community, the event unfolded as part of the ambitious 'Dubai Global' initiative, a visionary endeavor aimed at establishing a robust network of 50 representative offices worldwide by the year 2030.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, the President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, expressed:

“France is a strategically important global market in which we are keen to establish our presence. Our network of international representative offices will play a key role in boosting Dubai's non-oil foreign trade to EUR 500 billion by 2026, in line with the goals of the emirate’s five-year foreign trade plan.”

Intriguingly, the bilateral non-oil trade volume between Dubai and France recorded a noteworthy EUR 6.2 billion in the year 2022, marking an astounding year-on-year surge of 33.7%. The first seven months of 2023 alone bore witness to the registration of 472 new French companies with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, marking a remarkable 33% upswing compared to the corresponding period in 2022. This burgeoning influx has swelled the ranks of French member companies within the chamber to an impressive 3,068.

Dubai's strategic geographical location, coupled with its state-of-the-art logistical infrastructure, has solidified its stature as the preferred nucleus for commerce and trade among French enterprises harboring global aspirations. Offering a seamless gateway to a staggering 2.2 billion consumers, Dubai beckons as the ultimate launchpad for French businesses seeking to expand their global footprint.
