Embraer And Netjets Agree To Purchase 250 Planes

News

NetJets has inked a new arrangement with Embraer for up to 250 Praetor 500 aircraft options, including complete assistance services.

This way, the company will continue offering dependable worldwide access and great service to existing customers and their invited guests onboard.

Embraer and NetJets have been working together since 2010, when NetJets originally inked an acquisition deal for 50 Phenom 300 aircraft. A continuing agreement for up to 100 further Phenom 300/E planes, worth more than $1.2 billion, was signed by the two businesses back in 2021, after Embraer had successfully shipped more than one hundred aircraft.

But this is NetJets' first time supplying the mid-size Praetor 500 to clients, and the agreement is valued at more than US $5 billion, with shipments set to begin in 2025. One of NetJets' most popular models, the Embraer Phenom 300 series, has been in service for more than ten years.

Since NetJets currently operates an average of 1,200 flights per day across the globe, this fresh partnership not only demonstrates the company's dedication to improving the customer experience, but also its confidence in Embraer's leading portfolio and outstanding assistance in providing such services.

Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, commented with the occasion of the agreement:

“Since 2010, Embraer has enjoyed NetJets’ ongoing commitment to our industry-leading aircraft, which is a true testament to the value of our brand and our ability to deliver the ultimate experience in business aviation.

“Our strategic partnership has been an integral part of our business growth, with NetJets taking all aircraft delivery options that have been ordered with Embraer since inception. After building this successful foundation with the Phenom 300 series, it’s our pleasure to have now signed this monumental deal for the Praetor 500 mid-size jet, and we look forward to an even more exciting future ahead.”

Doug Henneberry, Executive VP at NetJets Aircraft Asset Management, replied:

“We are eager to add the Embraer Praetor 500, one of today’s most state-of-the-art business jets, to our mid-size fleet. This historic fleet agreement is another way that we are growing our fleet for the benefit of our loyal customers. By adding up to 250 aircraft to our fleet, we will continue providing NetJets Owners with exceptional service and seamless access to all corners of the globe.”

The Praetor 500 is the most innovative and cutting-edge mid-size business jet in the world, with class-leading range (allowing for coast-to-coast travel in the United States), speed, take-off and landing capabilities. When it comes to cutting-edge technology, no other aircraft in its class offers complete flying controls as it does. The jet’s cabin is among the most luxurious in the industry, and its performance is unparalleled. It has a taller and wider cross section than any other aircraft in its class and a lower cabin height. In addition, the cabin has a level surface, stone floors, a vacuum restroom, and a large, enclosed internal luggage storage.
