Emirates Airline Appoints Penelope Cruz as Their Brand Ambassador
Dubai Airlines' latest advertising campaign will feature the Academy Award-winning actress, who is also a philanthropist.
Emirates Airlines has announced that Penelope Cruz, a Hollywood actress, will be the face of their global advertising campaign.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona, the Oscar-winning actress from Barcelona, will help promote UAE Airlines in a new campaign that launches in June.
The campaign, which is aired in English and Cruz's native Spanish language, shows Cruz enjoying the luxuries available to Emirates first- and business-class customers, including the A380 lounge onboard and the inflight shower.
Cruz says, "From one room, to another one," as she settles in one of Emirates "game-changing", first-class suites.
Volver's star encourages passengers to "fly more" with Emirates. She also enjoys the new Premium Economy cabins of Emirates. She chats in multiple languages with the cabin crew and watches live football matches on Emirates' live in-flight TV.
The campaign will show Cruz taking a nap on a flat bed while wearing "hydraactive moisturising pajamas", which are provided to premium travelers by Emirates.
"I'm thrilled to partner with Emirates after years of travelling with them on some of the most special trips in my life," mentionedCruz.
"Emirates is all about Flying Better, where the journey to your destination matters as much as the place itself," said Richard Billington.
"We take care of every detail in the Emirates experience and wanted a brand ambassador who reflects the Emirates brand - it needed to be someone classy, stylish, and having modern global appeal. Penelope was the perfect fit."
Robert Stromberg is a Hollywood director, visual effects specialist and double Oscar winner. His credits include James Cameron’s Avatar, Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and James Cameron’s Avatar.
Cruz is Emirates' new ambassador, replacing Gerry the Goose. Gerry chose to "fly" better by abandoning his flock of migratory birds and traveling with Dubai Airlines. Michael Cronin, a British actor who does his best Sir David Attenborough impression, voiced the feathery star.
She will be joining other Hollywood stars such as Jennifer Anniston, Chris Hemsworth and Jennifer Anniston in the role of airline face.
Cruz visited the city three times at least, the most recent being for Chanel's Cruise 2021/22 Replica Show, where she appeared on the Vogue Arabia cover.
