Emirates has extended its in-flight meal pre-ordering service to include all its German gateways. Business Class passengers can now select their hot main meal between 14 days and 24 hours before departure from Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, and Duesseldorf. This service ensures that passengers receive their preferred meals, enhancing the overall travel experience.

Broadening Horizons

Initially launched on Emirates' busiest routes, including Hamburg, the pre-order service has now expanded to over 100 routes worldwide. To date, more than 135,000 pre-orders have been fulfilled on over 30,000 flights, with more than 400 meals being pre-ordered daily by Emirates’ customers.

How It Works

Convenient and Customizable

From 14 days up to 24 hours before departure, Business Class passengers can view their flight's menu online at emirates.de or via the Emirates app. They can choose from a variety of regionally inspired dishes made with local ingredients. Special Meals catering to dietary, religious, or nutritional preferences can also be pre-ordered.

Sample Menu Highlights

For flights between Germany and Dubai, the menu includes options like:

  • Grilled veal chop with green pepper sauce, grilled courgettes, caramelised fennel, and Anna potatoes with herbs.
  • Roast chicken with thyme and garlic, served with chicken jus with truffle oil, celeriac puree, red herb potatoes, pearl onions, and blanched broccolini.
  • Fish tahta with pan-fried grouper in Emirati spices, served with buttered rice and fried onions.

Additionally, passengers can choose from over 300 vegan dishes, such as:

  • Roasted cauliflower with ancient grains and lovage pesto with caramelised pear.
  • Ragout of Asian tofu and shiitake mushrooms with glass noodles.

Integration with Advanced Technology

Personalized Service Through AI

The pre-order system integrates with Emirates' AI-supported data tracking customer preferences and information from cabin crew, optimizing menu planning and aircraft loading. On board, cabin crew use a specially developed app to view meal selections and serve the desired dishes, providing a seamless and personalized dining experience.

Comprehensive Customer Service

Digital Enhancements for Convenience

Emirates' commitment to customer service excellence extends beyond in-flight meals. Passengers can check-in via the website or app, access digital boarding passes, and manage itineraries. They can also view digital menus in advance, register for the Skywards frequent flyer program, and create personal playlists for in-flight entertainment, which synchronize with their personal screens using the Emirates app.
