Emirates Resumes Daily Flights to Lagos, Nigeria

Airlines & Airports

Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has officially resumed passenger services to Lagos, Nigeria, with a daily flight schedule. This long-anticipated return marks a significant development in enhancing air connectivity between Dubai and one of Africa's key economic hubs.

Official Delegation and Welcoming Event

The inaugural flight featured an official delegation led by Adil Al Ghaith, Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations for the Gulf, Middle East, and Central Asia, alongside other senior executives from Emirates. The flight also carried distinguished guests from Nigeria, including His Excellency Festus Keyamo, Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and His Excellency Zayyan Ibrahim, Consul General of Nigeria in Dubai.

Upon arrival, Emirates hosted an exclusive event for VIPs, government officials, and key representatives from Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority and Federal Airports Authority, along with industry partners and corporate clients.

Commitment to Connectivity

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, expressed enthusiasm about the resumed operations, stating, “This has been a long-awaited moment, and we are excited to resume operations to Lagos, helping reconnect travelers seamlessly to and through Dubai, coupled with a consistent, world-class experience onboard.”

Kazim extended gratitude to Nigerian and UAE authorities for their support and emphasized Emirates’ commitment to contributing to the growth of the Nigerian aviation industry.

Flight Details

The daily flight, EK783, departs Dubai at 9:45 AM and arrives in Lagos at 3:20 PM. The return flight, EK784, leaves Lagos at 5:30 PM and lands in Dubai at 5:10 AM the following day. This schedule is designed to optimize connections to key destinations in Europe, the US, the Far East, and the wider Middle East and GCC, enhancing both business and leisure travel options for passengers.

Strengthening Economic Ties

The resumption of services to Lagos reinforces Emirates’ role in facilitating global trade and strengthening business ties between the UAE and Nigeria. Premium Travel Experience

The Dubai-Lagos service is operated using a Boeing 777-300ER, featuring eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 Economy Class seats, all equipped with premium amenities. Emirates is one of only two airlines offering First Class service in and out of Lagos, providing a luxurious travel experience with a premium selection of dishes, fine beverages, and one of the largest inflight entertainment screens available.

Passengers can enjoy a diverse array of regionally inspired multi-course menus and over 6,500 channels of global entertainment, including 23 Nigerian movies available on Emirates' award-winning inflight entertainment system, ice.

Visa Support and Loyalty Program

To facilitate travel to Dubai or onward destinations, Emirates will also provide 48-hour and 96-hour visa application assistance for travelers from Nigeria, an exclusive offer from the airline.

In celebration of the resumed services, Emirates has reinstated previous tier status levels for its Skywards loyalty program members, ensuring continuity of earned benefits and recognition.
