Travel Business
The United States will attend FITUR (International Tourism Trade Fair) hosted by Spain in the capital city of Madrid looking to strengthen its position as a top tourist destination in 2014.
The U.S. representatives have set their focus on presenting its splendid natural heritage as well as it
s entropic wonders like the Big Apple (NY). Given that cultural tourism is a strong element in today’s market, features like New York neighborhoods and their unique street culture will be presented to the attendants.
The best results registered by the U.S. are the 2012 figures, with a first place on income generated by foreign tourists, with numbers close to 126 million dollars. It also ranked second in terms of arrivals with 67 million people incoming. The percentage for North America has thus increased in the same year with 4% lifting the U.S. total results with 7% than the past year.
A leading tourism event, the International Tourism Trade Fair is organized by IFEMA in Feria de Madrid from 22 to 26 January 2014, with an U.S. expectancy of reinforcing the bonds with Spain.
The show marks the debut for this year’s following tourism events. It represents an opportunity for professionals in the tourism market to showcase their skills and strategies with a wide array of specific features and forums. These forums also include a technology section which will help keep-up with the dynamic, fast lane market today.
Meetings such as Fitur are designed to bring tourism stake holders into one place in which they can exchange experiences while consolidating their cultural dialogue and economic relations.
As far as the United States go, FITUR 2014 should be a preview on the surprises waiting for this year’s tourists in some of the most notorious locations in the country and, why not, the world, like the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone park, New York City and more.
