Transport Minister Thomas Danielsen highlighted the significance of the new København Syd Station, stating, "København Syd Station will become one of Denmark's busiest transit hubs, offering connections between Intercity trains, regional trains, S-trains, and now the metro. With this extension, the Copenhagen metro network now comprises 44 stations and 43 kilometers of tracks. The new M4 extension is expected to significantly increase passenger traffic on the M3/M4 lines.
