Flight data recorders have been successfully recovered from the wreckage of the Russian Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft that tragically crashed in Tver, Russia on the 23rd of August.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group, is among the individuals who lost their lives in this unfortunate incident. The Embraer Legacy 600 was in the midst of its journey from Moscow to St. Petersburg on a Wednesday afternoon when the calamity unfolded. Regrettably, none of the ten occupants on board survived the devastating crash.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency. A breakthrough has been achieved by Russian investigators through the retrieval of the flight recorders from the crash site. These flight data recorders are anticipated to unveil pivotal details about the final moments of the flight, encompassing crucial flight parameters like velocity, elevation, and direction.

The Catastrophe of the Embraer Legacy 600 The crash transpired as the Russian private jet, identified as an Embraer Legacy 600 with registration RA-02795, crashed near the Tver region subsequent to its takeoff from Moscow. The wreckage was located about 160 miles north of Moscow, near the village of Kuzhemkino Tver. The crash led to the demise of all seven passengers and three crew members on board. Notably, Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner Group, and Dmitry Utkin, the group's commander, were among those aboard the ill-fated aircraft. Yevgeny Prigozhin, who heads the Wagner Group, initiated a short-lived uprising against the Russian military leadership in June.

According to flight tracking services, the transponder signal of the aircraft was lost shortly after departure from Moscow. Following its initial ascent, the plane maintained a stable altitude at 28,000 feet (x meters). This level flight endured for approximately ten minutes. Despite the absence of position transmission, other data such as altitude, velocity, vertical rate, and autopilot configurations were transmitted.

In the final moments of the flight, the aircraft transmitted an abrupt and steep decline in altitude. The uncontrollable vertical descent culminated in a rapid nosedive that led the aircraft to crash within seconds. Unfortunately, the crash transpired in an isolated area devoid of suitable landing facilities.

Emergency responders promptly arrived at the crash site mere minutes after the catastrophe, and official investigations by Russian authorities promptly commenced. The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency articulated in an official statement,

"An investigation has been launched into the crash of the Embraer aircraft, which occurred tonight in the Tver region. According to the list of passengers, among them is the name and surname of Yevgeny Prigozhin."

A Telegram channel affiliated with the Wagner Group also corroborated the presence of the company's leader aboard the ill-fated flight. Photographs from the crash site distinctly show the aircraft's tail number, aligning with the jet owned by the Wagner Group. Additionally, Russia's civil aviation authority verified that both Prigozhin and Utkin were aboard the aircraft at the time of the crash.

The flight data recorders salvaged from the crash site will be submitted for decryption and comprehensive data analysis. It is only a matter of time before pivotal information is extracted and findings from the investigation are unveiled to the general public.
