Ford adds 2.000 more jobs - how to apply
According to Ford announcement on December 1st, the company will invest $1.3 billion at the Kentucky Truck Plant on Chamberlain Lane in Louisville
The company's plan practically aims to support the launch of the 2017 Ford F-Series Super Duty aluminum truck, an upcoming event expected in the fall of 2016. The construction to build the new F-Series truck already started at the Kentucky Truck Plant (KTP), currently employing 4.420 hourly and 227 salary workers.
Ford President of the Americas Joe Hinrichs declared for the media:
“Adding more jobs and further investing to better serve customers will allow us to contribute more to the great communities we serve.
“The plant has been expanding physically and the equipment has already been coming in, so it takes a year to get all of this stuff done.”
The hiring announcement was made by the KTP's team leader John Painter, who is also very proud of his team, the new body-shop and the new project at Ford.
“We’re really proud of our product and we stand behind it. It’s great for all of us today,” Painter added.
The aluminum truck is a big hit for Ford clients as well as for the aluminum industry in the area.
Governor Steve Beshear explains:
“The economy is booming in Kentucky and I’m excited about it. It’s a great thing to build off of in the future.”
Ford officials stated that they want to end the hiring process by April of 2016.
