Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo’s 70th anniversary is celebrated by Fujita Kanko
Fujita Kanko Inc. is a prominent Japanese hospitality company that celebrates this month the 70th anniversary of its flagship hotel, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo.
Fujita Kanko is the owner and manager of the luxurious hotel. It is most well-known for its vast Japanese garden. This green oasis in Tokyo's middle of Tokyo contains many botanical species, including 100+ cherry trees, 2,300 camellia trees, and historical artifacts. The property is truly an urban resort that is unique and a Japanese treasure.
It was once the residence of Gensui Princess Aritomo Yamagata (1838-1922), who was a statesman. He named it Chinzanso, meaning "villa on the hill camellia," as the picturesque location had been known for its abundance of wild camellia trees. The property was then purchased by Baron Heitaro Fujita, and Chinzanso gardens were opened to the public in 1952. Fujita Kanko, which was founded in 1955, was created to expand Fujita's hospitality company. The company is a pioneer in this field.
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo launched special events/programs to commemorate the anniversary. Some species of camellias can bloom in snowy winter. The various promotions and programs for the anniversary year are available until November 2023.
The Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo also offers classes and programs for international guests. These include Japanese conversation classes, tea ceremony in their tea house, and moss ball-making classes. There are 267 guest rooms/suites in the hotel, as well as nine restaurants and 38 meeting/banquet spaces. The spa also features Japanese onsen (hot-spring baths), which is frequently ranked among Japan's best hotel spas. The hotel also received numerous awards, including the Grand Prix Villegiature Awards in the best hotel ambiance category.
