ITA Airways introduces a new nonstop flight connecting Milan Linate to Malta Luqa, starting June 1, 2024. The seasonal service will feature four weekly flights, enhancing ITA's summer offerings to Malta and expanding its global network.

ITA Airways, Italy's flag carrier, has announced the commencement of ticket sales for its newly introduced nonstop flight route from Milan Linate to Malta Luqa, set to begin on June 1, 2024. This addition marks a significant expansion of ITA Airways' services, offering passengers more flexibility and options for travel between Italy and Malta during the summer season.

The Milan Linate to Malta Luqa route will operate with a frequency of four times a week from June through September, adhering to a schedule designed for convenience. Flights departing from Milan Linate to Malta Luqa will leave at 11:10 a.m., arriving in Malta at 1:05 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. On Saturdays, the service will depart at 3:00 p.m., with an arrival time of 4:55 p.m. The return flights from Malta Luqa to Milan Linate are scheduled for 1:55 p.m. departures, reaching Milan at 3:55 p.m. on the same days, while the Saturday flight will leave Malta at 5:45 p.m., landing in Milan at 7:45 p.m.

This new flight route complements ITA Airways' ongoing service from Rome Fiumicino to Malta, which currently operates twice weekly, with plans to increase to three times a week in April and daily flights by June. The introduction of the Milan Linate - Malta Luqa connection underscores ITA Airways' commitment to enhancing its network and providing passengers with more destinations and travel options.

In Summer 2024, ITA Airways aims to serve 57 destinations across its network, including 16 domestic, 26 international, and 15 intercontinental routes. The airline is set to launch several new direct flights from its Rome Fiumicino hub to various destinations, including Chicago, Toronto, Riyadh, Accra, Kuwait City, Dakar, and Jeddah, covering key markets in North America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Additionally, ITA Airways will introduce 10 seasonal connections during the summer peak, targeting popular Mediterranean tourism spots such as Greece, Spain, Croatia, and the Italian islands. These include flights to Rhodes, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Menorca, Heraklion, Corfu, Lampedusa, Pantelleria, as well as Split and Kefalonia, exclusively from Rome Fiumicino, further broadening the airline's summer travel offerings.
