ITB Berlin From March 9th-13th
With a total of over 110,000 exhibitors from 180 countries, the International Tourism Bourse in Berlin is considered the largest event of its kind in the world. It is the largest tourism fair in the world ( as -160 000 sqm surface - and the number of trade visitors ). The first edition took place in 1966 , and this year, from March 9th-13th around 10,000 exhibitors from 187 countries and territories will be exhibiting the latest products and trends of the global tourism industry on 1,069 stands.
Berlin becomes these days the world capital of tourism. The largest companies in the industry, travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hotel chains and tourist offices of various countries around the world are meeting in Berlin to give voice to the latest trends in tourism.
The event takes place over 5 days in the huge exhibition center Berlin Messe Convention Center, during which, besides the stands of companies and countries participating, there are professionals tourism that participate in conferences and seminars on topics related to the tourism industry or related services.
The whole event covers an area of 160,000 square meters of Messe Berlin and the 10 086 exhibitors from 188 countries are divided into 26 huge halls, depending on the geographic area and area of expertise (destinations , hospitality , wellness, MICE , marketing and distribution, technology and innovation) .
