JAL Unveils "Fantastic Journey Express" Themed Aircraft for Domestic Flights

Japan Airlines (JAL) is set to launch the "JAL Fantastic Journey Express," a special Disney-themed aircraft, starting in late October 2024. This Boeing 767-300ER will celebrate the newly opened Fantasy Springs port at Tokyo DisneySea, featuring beloved Disney characters and enchanting designs.

A Magical Aircraft Design

The "JAL Fantastic Journey Express" is part of a collaboration between JAL and Tokyo Disney Resort®, marking their sixth partnership since 2001. The aircraft design is inspired by Fantasy Springs, Tokyo DisneySea's newest themed port, which opened in June 2024. The design features iconic Disney characters such as Anna and Elsa from Frozen, Rapunzel from Tangled, and Peter Pan, set against backdrops that include Arendelle Castle, Rapunzel’s Tower, and Captain Hook’s ship, the Jolly Roger.

In-Flight Experience

Passengers aboard the "JAL Fantastic Journey Express" will be treated to a fully immersive experience, with themed headrest covers, paper cups, and even special boarding pass stickers. Additionally, the inflight music will include Disney classics like “You Can Fly! You Can Fly! You Can Fly!” from Peter Pan and the new “Journey to Fantasy Springs” theme, setting the mood as passengers embark on their journey.

Service and Specifications

The themed Boeing 767-300ER will operate on domestic routes served by this aircraft type. The aircraft, with a seating capacity of 252 (including First Class, Class J, and Economy Class), will feature special in-flight items and music designed to enhance the Disney-themed experience.
