Korean Air Sponsors US STEM Program with Four-Year Deal
Korean Air has entered a four-year sponsorship agreement with the Center for Excellence in Education (CEE), a US-based non-profit that provides advanced STEM programs for high-achieving high school students.
The agreement was signed on June 4 at the US Capitol by Korean Air Chairman and CEO Walter Cho, in the presence of US Senator Todd Young, a CEE Honorary Trustee, and CEE President Joann DiGennaro.
Under the partnership, Korean Air will fund scholarships for students selected for the CEE's Research Science Institute (RSI) program, one of the organization's flagship initiatives connecting talented students with leading academics and business executives. The airline will also host dedicated lectures on aviation technology, research, and development for selected participants at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston.
"As a global carrier, we aim to foster future talent in STEM fields, including the aviation sector," said a Korean Air spokesperson. "Through this partnership, we look forward to providing international students with practical engagement opportunities while supporting academic programs that drive future industry innovation."
