London Gatwick Expands Winter Offerings with 28 Weekly Flights to Lapland
London Gatwick is increasing its winter flight options with 28 weekly flights to four Lapland destinations. Passengers can now choose from additional flights to Rovaniemi and Ivalo in Finland, two popular gateways to Lapland, operated by Norwegian and British Airways. These flights will complement existing services to Kittila and Kuusamo, providing an even greater variety of options for travelers heading to the home of Father Christmas.
New Routes to Winter and Sun Destinations
In addition to the enhanced Lapland services, Gatwick is introducing 11 new routes this winter, adding more choice for those seeking ski holidays, winter sun, or festive getaways. New short-haul routes include flights to Evenes (Norway), Brest (France), and Luxor (Egypt), while Chambery (France), a popular ski destination, will be served starting December 14.
Long-Haul Options for Winter Getaways
Long-haul travelers will also benefit from a new route to La Romana in the Dominican Republic, operated by TUI. This provides even more options for those seeking an exotic winter escape.
Greater Connectivity at Gatwick
Stephanie Wear, VP Aviation Development at London Gatwick, highlighted the airport’s growing network: "It’s fantastic that London Gatwick can offer passengers such an exciting range of destinations this winter, whether for holidays, visiting family and friends at Christmas, or business trips."
With these additions, Gatwick continues to expand its network and provide passengers with greater choice and competition, reinforcing its vision of becoming the airport for everyone.
