Manchester Airport Adds 12 New Routes This Summer
Manchester Airport is expanding its network with 12 new routes this summer, ranging from Mediterranean beach destinations to long-haul connections in Africa and South Asia.
Two new long-haul services headline the additions. Air Algerie will launch direct flights to Algiers from June 14, with fares from £263 return, while Pakistan International Airlines will add Lahore to its Manchester operations from July 3, complementing its existing Islamabad service, with tickets from £881 return.
On the short-haul side, easyJet, Jet2.com, and Ryanair are each introducing multiple new destinations. easyJet is adding Bari in southern Italy from July 3 (from £109 return), Montpellier in southern France, already on sale from £79, and Preveza in mainland Greece — the gateway to the island of Lefkada — from June 24, priced from £126 return.
Jet2.com is bringing six new routes to the airport: Jerez de la Frontera on Spain's Atlantic coast (from £96), La Palma in the Canary Islands (from £103), Palermo in Sicily (from £122), Pula in Croatia (from £104), and Samos in the Greek Aegean (from £95). Ryanair rounds out the additions with new services to Castellon in eastern Spain from June 1 (from £35) and Rimini on Italy's Adriatic coast from June 3 (from £34).
"We're so excited to see a dozen new routes coming on board this summer, several of which will connect Manchester to destinations unserved by any other Northern airport," said Stephen Turner, Chief Commercial Officer at Manchester Airport.
