Middle East records significant increase of the wellness sector
Health and wellness holidays in the Middle East area have reached US$7.3 billion in spendings, as reported by the Global Spa and Wellness Economy Monitor report within the Global Wellness Institute
To encourage further popularity and sector growth, the Arabian Travel Market provides 25 of the world’s most luxurious health and wellness hospitality exhibitors with a new Wellness & Spa Lounge platform that allows both business investors and clients to boost networking and service opportunities.
The event has been announced during April 25th-28th, 2016. The Wellness & Spa Lounge exhibition will be hosted by the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“In our research we found that across all markets, wellness tourism is exceptionally popular. This is confirmed by the report, which shows over a nine per cent year-on-year growth forecasted for the next two years, which is a staggering 50 per cent faster than overall global tourism. This prompted us to design a dedicated space with seminar sessions focused exclusively on industry topics,” explained Nadege Noblet-Segers, Arabian Travel Market's exhibition manager.
Looking at figures, the UAE’s spa industry aims to reach US$2.26 billion revenues by 2017, placing it on top of the most valuable tourism sector in the Middle East list.
