Minor Hotels Expands Anantara in Oman with New Beachfront Retreat and Spa

Minor Hotels to open new Anantara resort in Oman by 2026, highlighting luxury and wellness on the coast.

Minor Hotels is set to enhance its Anantara brand presence in Oman with an upcoming resort in Bandar Al Khairan, Muscat. This luxurious addition, a 121-key beachfront property, is anticipated to open its doors in 2026, offering guests an escape on the stunning Omani coast, a mere 45-minute journey from the capital.

Owned by Musstir, the real estate development sector of MB Holding Company, which also oversees Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara, this new resort promises a retreat centered on wellness. Guests can look forward to the signature Anantara Spa, a fitness center, and unique features like a private stargazing majlis for relaxation.

Amenities will include a remarkable infinity pool, five dining venues, event spaces, a children’s splash pool, youth clubs, and even a helipad, ensuring a comprehensive luxury experience for all ages.

Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels and group CEO of Minor International, expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the shared commitment to excellence with Musstir and the natural allure of the Omani coast as an ideal setting for the new resort.

This venture will expand Anantara’s footprint in the Middle East, joining two existing Omani resorts and contributing to Minor Hotels' extensive global portfolio of over 540 hotels across 56 countries. With plans for new openings in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa through 2026, Minor Hotels aims to bolster its international presence further.
