As recently announced by the authorities, Aruba’s goal of returning to “normal” is now a step closer, with travellers entering the country to face less travel restrictions.

“Without question, the global pandemic has forced tremendous change to the way Aruba has operated these last two years, from day-to-day business to the way visitors travel and enjoy their time on the One happy island. However, with notable changes recently signalling a less severe disease progression, we have taken proactive steps for the path forward to create a better environment for travel and tourism without jeopardising our commitment to health and safety”, commented the chief executive of Aruba Tourism Authority, Ronella Croes.

The first condition for adult tourists entering the amazing island in the Caribbean Sea is taking an antigen test one day or a PCR test up to 3 days before arrival respectively. Proof of complete vaccination will also be requested, with the booster dose administered at least one week prior the date of entrance.

All necessary documents will be uploaded online 3 days before arrival in Aruba.

Children between 12 and 17 years old must also be vaccinated, but are allowed to enter the island without a Covid-19 booster. Tourists coming from the US are required the Smart Health Card for check.

On the other hand, travellers older than 12 who were infected with any of the new coronavirus variants and tested positive for the disease from 10 days to 3 months before the trip to Aruba will be granted entry without providing proof of a negative Covid-19 test.

Nevertheless, all visitors must wear a mask in indoor public spaces.

The relaxation of the safety measures were officially announced by the government in a conference held on February 1st. The latest regulations aim making travel easier for tourists from all countries, as well as boost tourism in the area.
