New IHG Hotels & Resorts Global HQ Opens in Windsor, UK
IHG Hotels & Resorts is proud to officially open its global headquarters in Windsor, UK.
It is one of the most renowned hotel companies in the world. After 15 years of being based in Denham in Buckinghamshire, IHG is back in Windsor, UK, where it began its life in 2003 as a FTSE-listed business.
This building is not only the global headquarters of the company, but also the head for its Europe, Middle East Asia, Africa region. It serves an international business with more than 6,000 hotels in more than 100 countries.
Opening ceremony for Windsor One on Arthur Road, was hosted by Keith Barr, IHG CEO, and special guests Samantha Rayner, councilor of Eton and Castle, and Andrew Johnson Leader for Royal Borough Windsor and Maidenhead.
The office is located close to London's major transport hubs and international airports. It has 57,000 square feet of space spread over five floors. There are meeting rooms, event space, parking and a recording studio.

This new headquarters is an indication of Windsor's attractiveness as a destination and a location. IHG contracted Good Eating to provide its food and beverages in Windsor. This company makes a positive contribution to the community by supporting CoFarm, which is a sustainable development charity. Overbury, the building's General Contractor donated his time, advice, and materials to Windsor Homeless to assist with their new base on Windsor's Alma Road.
IHG's Journey to Tomorrow plan also focuses on reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions, in accordance with climate science, minimisation of waste, and conservation of water. The company is aiming to achieve a gold LEED certification at its global headquarters. This will reflect IHG's responsible building decisions. This includes significant energy savings, renewable energy use, and sustainable sourcing furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
