Norwegian Cruise Line Announces Port of Philadelphia as New Homeport for 2026

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has announced its 2026 spring/summer itineraries, highlighting the addition of Philadelphia as a new homeport. This marks a significant milestone, as NCL will be the first cruise line to offer voyages from Philadelphia, commencing April 16, 2026, with trips to Bermuda, as well as Canada and New England.

New Homeport and Exciting Destinations

Bermuda Voyages from Philadelphia

Starting April 16, 2026, Norwegian Jewel® will begin seven-to-nine-day cruises to Bermuda, departing from the SouthPort Marine Terminal Complex in Philadelphia. These itineraries include overnight stays at Bermuda’s Royal Naval Dockyard, allowing guests ample time to explore the island’s turquoise waters and pink-sand beaches.

Expanded Itinerary Offerings

Norwegian Jewel will later offer 10- and 11-day itineraries to Canada and New England, alternating departures between Philadelphia and Québec City. These voyages will visit ports such as Saguenay, Charlottetown, Halifax, Bar Harbor, and Boston.

In addition to Philadelphia, NCL will introduce nearly 250 new voyages from nine major cruise ports across the U.S. and Canada. Highlights include:

  • Norwegian Breakaway® from Boston offering seven-day Bermuda voyages starting April 19, 2026.
  • Norwegian Aqua from New York City with five- and seven-day Bermuda itineraries.
  • New routes to the Caribbean, Bahamas, and Alaska from ports including Miami, Seattle, and Quebec City.

Enhanced Bahamas Season

NCL will expand its short-cruise offerings with nearly 40 voyages to the Bahamas from Miami aboard Norwegian Getaway®. These three- to four-night cruises will visit Nassau and Great Stirrup Cay, featuring a newly constructed multi-ship pier.

Caribbean Adventures

Norwegian Prima will continue to offer seven-day sailings to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral, Florida, visiting top destinations such as Montego Bay, George Town, and Puerto Plata.

Alaska: The Ultimate Frontier

NCL’s 2026 Alaska season will commence in late April with voyages from Seattle, Whittier, and Vancouver. Ships like Norwegian Encore®, Norwegian Bliss®, and Norwegian Joy® will offer seven- to 10-day itineraries featuring expansive outdoor and indoor spaces to enjoy Alaska's majestic landscapes.
