NCL announces significant updates to Norwegian Joy, including a new Thermal Suite, expanded spa facilities, redesigned suites, and more, following a comprehensive three-week dry dock.
Norwegian Joy Debuts Upgraded Amenities and Luxurious Spaces Post-Dry Dock
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a leader in the cruise industry, has officially unveiled a series of notable enhancements aboard its beloved vessel, Norwegian Joy. Following an extensive three-week dry dock, the ship now features a new Thermal Suite in the Mandara Spa and Salon, redesigned The Haven Premier Owner’s Suites, an expanded Vibe Beach Club, and the addition of 24 new balcony staterooms.
David J. Herrera, president of NCL, emphasized the brand's commitment to responding to guest feedback with these upgrades, stating, "Our guests have asked for these enhancements to Norwegian Joy, and we delivered." The updates aim to enrich the onboard experience, offering passengers more opportunities to unwind and enjoy their journey in comfort and style.
The newly introduced Thermal Suite, now the largest of its kind within the Breakaway-Plus class ships, offers a rejuvenating spa experience with four senses loungers, a sauna, ice room, and steam room. This enhancement is part of NCL's award-winning Mandara Spa experience, which recently garnered the title of "Best Spa" from Cruise Critic editors.
Additionally, The Haven by Norwegian® has seen its Premier Owner’s Suites upgraded to include three bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms, and revamped living and dining areas, providing unparalleled luxury and breathtaking views.
The popular adults-only Vibe Beach Club has also been expanded, mirroring the layout seen on Norwegian Encore and Norwegian Bliss, and now includes private luxe cabanas for an exclusive retreat.
Beyond these enhancements, Norwegian Joy continues to offer an impressive array of amenities, including 21 bars and lounges, 16 dining options, and a range of activities and entertainment for all ages. From the thrilling Norwegian Joy Speedway to world-class shows like “Elements,” guests have endless opportunities for enjoyment.
After reemerging from dry dock on February 11, 2024, in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Norwegian Joy embarked on an 11-Day Transatlantic voyage to Miami. The ship is currently operating seven-day Caribbean voyages from Miami and will relocate to New York in summer 2024 for Bermuda cruises. With NCL's Free at Sea program, guests can enjoy complimentary benefits including unlimited open bar, specialty dining, and more, making the newly revitalized Norwegian Joy a premier choice for cruise enthusiasts seeking luxury and adventure.
