Norwegian Cruise Line Unveils Exciting 2024 Europe Season with New Routes and Ships
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) announces a diverse array of over 100 itineraries for the 2024 Europe season, featuring new homeports and ships, including the Prima Class vessels, and the first-ever summer sailings from New York City to Reykjavik.
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), a pioneer in global cruise travel, is thrilled to launch its 2024 Europe season, offering an unparalleled travel experience with more than 100 immersive itineraries. This season is marked by the introduction of 13 homeports across nine ships, including the innovative Prima Class vessels, enhancing NCL’s presence in Europe.
Starting on April 19, 2024, the season kicked off with the Norwegian Epic arriving at its seasonal homeport of Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy, before embarking on a 10-day voyage through the Greek Isles and Italy. This year, NCL introduces New York City; Le Havre (Paris), France; and Oslo, Norway as exciting new homeport options, broadening the accessibility and appeal of its European cruises.
Highlighting the season is NCL's inaugural summer series of sailings between New York City and Reykjavik, Iceland, beginning in July 2024. These new itineraries feature breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cultural exchanges in ports across Iceland, Greenland, and Canada.
David J. Herrera, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, emphasized the value proposition of cruising in Europe with NCL. "Our goal is to provide unmatched and captivating experiences that immerse guests in Europe’s iconic destinations while offering up to 40% more value than a comparable land-based vacation," said Herrera. "We invite guests to enjoy the convenience of unpacking once and waking up to a new destination nearly every day."
The 2024 season also promises a wealth of onboard experiences, from high-production entertainment and world-class dining to a wide array of activities suitable for all ages. With ships like the Norwegian Escape sailing the Mediterranean without almost no days at sea and the Norwegian Getaway exploring the Greek Isles, guests have ample opportunities to delve deeply into the cultures and landscapes of Europe.
NCL’s "Free at Sea" offer enhances the vacation experience further, allowing guests to tailor their cruise with perks such as specialty dining, unlimited beverage packages, shore excursion credits, and even free airfare for the second guest.
Additionally, the Norwegian Viva will be offering 9 to 11-day open-jaw voyages in the Mediterranean, featuring different embarkation and disembarkation ports, ideal for extended vacations in Europe.
For those planning ahead, NCL cruises in Europe are already on sale through December 2025. This advance availability provides ample opportunity for travelers to plan and book their next European adventure.
