Carnival Cruise Line Teams Up with Will Anderson Jr. for Galveston Youth Event

Carnival Cruise Line and football star Will Anderson Jr. welcomed children from Big Brothers Big Sisters Gulf Coast aboard Carnival Breeze in Galveston, including a Q&A session and a $10,000 donation to the organization.

Carnival Cruise Line recently joined forces with professional football star Will Anderson Jr. to host an inspiring event for children from the Big Brothers Big Sisters Gulf Coast in Galveston. Aboard the Carnival Breeze, docked at the Port of Galveston, the children enjoyed a unique opportunity to meet Anderson, the 2023 football rookie sensation, during a special Q&A session where they delved into his experiences and career in football.

Christine Duffy, President of Carnival, highlighted the cruise line's commitment to supporting local communities, especially noting the long-standing relationship with the city of Galveston. "Will Anderson Jr. is not only an exceptional athlete but also a positive influence on the youth in the Houston area. We're honored to have him share his journey with these children," Duffy stated.

In addition to hosting the event, Carnival Cruise Line demonstrated its support for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Gulf Coast program by donating $10,000, aiding in the continuation of their vital mentorship work.

Anderson expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the Galveston youth and their mentors. "I feel truly blessed to be able to give back to the community," Anderson remarked. "It was a pleasure to spend time with the youth of Galveston and the mentors who are providing them with critical guidance and support. Anderson's rookie year was marked by significant achievements, including being a top performer among rookies with seven sacks, 45 tackles, and leading in quarterback pressures and hits. His impact on the field earned him a spot on the Pro Football Writers’ Association’s All-Rookie Team, underscoring his role as a rising star in professional football and a role model off the field.
