Delta Sky Club Unveils Major Expansion in Miami
Delta Sky Club has dramatically expanded its Miami lounge, increasing capacity and enhancing design elements that reflect Miami's vibrant aesthetic and Art Deco heritage.
Delta Sky Club has unveiled a significant expansion of its Miami lounge, enhancing both its capacity and aesthetic to better serve guests. This expansion introduces nearly 4,000 additional square feet and over 100 new seats, bringing the total area to approximately 12,000 square feet with a capacity to accommodate around 300 guests.
Claude Roussel, Vice President – Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience, emphasized the importance of Miami as a global transport hub and a growing part of Delta’s network. The expansion aims to match the dynamic vibe of the city, providing a space that caters to both leisure and business travelers.
The design of the expanded lounge draws inspiration from Miami’s iconic bright colors and sunny beaches. Notable features include a new mosaic that pays tribute to Miami's Art Deco architecture and a color palette that mirrors the local environment with shades of turquoise, blue, white, and gold.
The lounge now boasts a new service buffet and an additional beverage station, designed to support the increased guest volume. The seating arrangement is thoughtfully designed with the business traveler in mind, including single-seat dining tables and a communal table equipped with a central charging station. Nearly every seat in the lounge now offers access to power outlets, ensuring convenience for all guests.
The expansion also enhances the lounge’s views of the H Concourse, offering an elevated perspective of the bustling airport activity below.
This expansion in Miami marks the beginning of a significant year for Delta’s lounges, with plans to open two new Sky Clubs in Charlotte and Seattle and three Delta One Lounges in JFK, LAX, and BOS.
