Qatar Airways Expands Its Service From Key U.S. Airport

The airline will increase connectivity between NY's JFK Airport and Doha's Hamad International Airport by offering three direct flights.
Travelling to Qatar from New York City has just become more convenient. This week, Qatar Airways confirmed that it would increase its service between New York and Doha to three flights per day.
The airline stated that the three daily flight schedules begin at 8:20 PM, 10:15 PM, and 1:25 AM. The 12-hour-and-25-minute journey will be taken off by a Boeing 777-300ER.
Timely for the upcoming holiday travel season, the revised flight schedule will go into force on October 30. Economy rates will begin at $719, while Business tickets will cost $10,298.
Previously, Qatar had twice-daily service between New York and Doha. The extra-flight expansion may not seem like much, but it will allow more American travellers to travel to Doha at convenient times thanks to the extensive list of regional carriers that Qatar has set up in the country.
Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker declared with the occasion:
“We continue to offer seamless connectivity to our passengers from the U.S. market and beyond with the support of our strategic partners. Our unwavering commitment to our long-standing U.S. partners, American Airlines, JetBlue and Alaska Airlines is built on our mission to connect the world through our hub to our 160 destinations and more.”
In addition to offering inexpensive hotel rates starting as low as $14 per night, Qatar Airways is well-known for its Stopover Program, which offers exclusive discounts on excursions and activities.
According to a recent SEC filing, Qatar Airways reported 31 million passengers in the last year, up 71% over the prior year. Part of the increase may be attributed to the World Cup 2022 event.
