Record number of visitors in London for mid 2015

Between April and June 2015, London welcomed 5.1 million international tourists for £3.2 billion travel industry influx
Over the past five years (2009-2014), the UK capital experienced an unexpected 22.5 per cent tourism boost, which represented half of the total tourists visits of the country. On a national level, UK registered a five per cent increase in total number of foreign visitors since last year's assesments.
Global Cities Index reports London as the most popular tourist destination in the world for the second year in a row, ahead of other cities like Paris and Bangkok, according to MasterCard nominations.
According to the Office for National Statistics International Passenger Survey release six per cent more travelers visited London, for an eight per cent influx increase when compared to last year's figures.
Tourism influx for mid 2015 was £5.8 billion, a seven per cent increase compared with the same period of 2014.

According to the latest forecast, the city is expected to welcome a total of 18.82 million international visitors in 2015.
