Royal Caribbean presents first Icon Class ship

Bookings aboard the long-expected Royal Caribbean cruise ship will be available as soon as October 24 for Crown & Anchor loyalty members.

Icon of the Sea will feature the largest cruising industry water-park, as well as 40 of the ultimate dining, bar, nightlife and entertainment amenities. Guests will be invited to enjoy Thrill Island, with the largest water-park at sea, Chill Island with its seven pools, the Surfside with the Water’s Edge pool and the Splashaway Bay and Baby Bay, The Hideaway featuring a suspended infinity pool, the AquaDome, AquaTheater and many more luxurious entertainment facilities.

Moreover, signature neighbourhoods will also be available for Icon passengers: the Royal Promenade, Central Park, a bigger Suite Neighbourhood including The Grove and Coastal Kitchen, as well as attractive adventure and dinning experiences hot spots.

The debut of the Icon Class ship marks the cruise line’s commitment to sustainability and a clean-energy future. Icon of the Sea will be fuelled by cell technology and powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), and is the most sustainable cruise vessel so far owned by the Royal Caribbean.

Icon of the Seas will offer 7-night Caribbean holidays departing from Miami, including itineraries via Cozumel in Mexico, Philipsburg in St. Maarten and Roatan, Honduras.
