Serbia and KSA sign tourism agreement
The MoU was closed between SCTNH President Prince Sultan bin Salman and Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Rasim Ljajic
The memorandum of understanding supports promoting two of both states' values: culture and tourism.
The MoU was signed on Thursday at Belgrade, during Prince's Sultan bin Salman, president of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) visit to the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
The prince responded the invitation of Rasim Ljajic's, the Serbian deputy prime minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications, to enhance bilateral cooperation in travel sector, mutual tourism investments and events to boost cultural bonds between Serbia and the Kingdom.
The understanding memorandum signed at Belgrade includes specific information exchanges, management and development of hospitality features (new hotels and resorts), monitoring of tourist accommodations, and heritage restoration and preservation personnel trainings.
The exchange of expertise between the two countries will also aim to grow human resources and economic development in the tourism sector under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, who is currently developing the Program of Kingdom’s Cultural Heritage Care to promote national heritage and to attract travel industry investments.
During his visit in Belgrade, Prince Sultan also met with Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to discuss mutual cooperation on the matter. Consequently, official delegates from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will travel to the Kingdom in the near future to consolidate cultural and touristic ties.
