Since the arrival of Cruises' MS Insignia, cruise tourism in Trinidad has gotten off the ground.
The Oceania Cruises MS Insignia made her first season debut this year. Through tantalising food and exciting entertainment, Tourism Trinidad brought Trinidad to life for the passengers of Oceania Cruises' MS Insignia.
Prior to the start of the season, Tourism Trinidad briefed the TTPS and said that they, together with the Port Police, are working around the clock to guarantee the safety and security of all passengers.
“The organisation in tandem with the TTPS and Port Security are working to ensure that visitors are safe for the upcoming Cruise Ship season. Thousands of visitors will be coming to our shores via hundreds of Cruise Ship stops between Monday 21st November 2022 and April 2023”, commented the representatives of Tourism Trinidad.
The TTPS has promised to support the various initiatives, including the deployment of Visitor Ambassadors to key locations in the down town area of Port of Spain to provide tourists with travel assistance and information while they explore the country's capital.
Mobile patrols, foot patrols at important intersections, police presence at traffic signals, and visible equestrian patrols are all examples of these measures. In addition, the local police will be kept up-to-date on upcoming tours and cruise ship arrivals.
Cruise tourism in Trinidad and Tobago began on November 21, 2022, and will conclude in April 2023.
