Singapore Airlines Now Offers Free WiFi for Business Class and PPS Club Members

Singapore Airlines is well-known for its outstanding inflight experience. Now it provides free WiFi for business class and PPS Club Members
It won awards last year such as World's Best Airline Cabin Staff, and World's Best First Class at the Skytrax World Airline Award. Singapore Airlines is now expanding its onboard offerings by offering complimentary WiFi access to its fleet.
All passengers flying in Suites, First and Business Class will be able to enjoy unlimited inflight WiFi. KrisFlyer members will also be eligible for the free inflight WiFi. They will get a three-hour free plan when they travel in Premium Economy and a two-hour free plan when they travel in Economy Class.
All 153 Singapore Airlines aircraft are equipped with WiFi, except for seven Boeing 737-880s that do not have WiFi. Yeoh Phee Teik (senior vice president for customer experience at Singapore Airlines) welcomed the decision, saying:
"Staying connected, even at 35,000 feet in the air, has become an essential aspect of the travel experience. With our enhanced Wi-Fi offerings, SIA's customers can stay in touch with their loved ones, post photos and videos on their social media channels, or keep updated on the latest news. These changes are in response to customer feedback, and part of SIA's continuous investment to enhance their travel experience and maintain our leadership position."
This is a major upgrade to the airline’s offerings. Prior to this, Business Class passengers and PPS Club members received 100MB of complimentary WiFi. KrisFlyer members who traveled in Premium Economy or Economy Class received a complimentary two-hour WiFi plan that was optimized for messaging.
For passengers who have not yet been enrolled in KrisFlyer or who have already received their complimentary package, WiFi plans can also be purchased. These plans cost from $3.99 per hour up to $13.99 for the duration of the flight. KrisFlyer members who are not KrisFlyer members can sign up to receive complimentary inflight WiFi.
Singapore Airlines is proud to be the first airline to offer complimentary WiFi access for KrisFlyer members and premium passengers. There are only a few airlines that offer inflight WiFi access for free, and they are growing.
JetBlue is the only US airline to offer this service across its entire fleet. Several other airlines offer this service on select WiFi-enabled aircraft, including the Boeing 787s of Hainan Airlines and Air New Zealand's Airbus A320neos.
