SWISS Launches Nonstop Flights Between Zurich and Bengaluru
Swiss International Air Lines will launch nonstop flights between Zurich and Bengaluru from October 2026, operating five times weekly and marking the airline's first service to India's technology and business hub.
The new route gives travelers from southern India direct access to SWISS's global hub at Zurich Airport, with onward connections across Europe and North America through the Lufthansa Group network. Bengaluru becomes the third Lufthansa Group gateway from the city, alongside existing Frankfurt and Munich services operated by other group carriers.
All flights will feature SWISS's full three-class cabin configuration — First, Business, and Economy — including premium lounge access, Swiss cuisine, and through-ticketing for passengers connecting from smaller Indian cities via Bengaluru's domestic network of 78 destinations.
"This non-stop link meets surging corporate and leisure demand, connecting India's Silicon Valley with a premier global financial capital," said Girish Nair, Chief Operating Officer of Bangalore International Airport Limited.
The route is aimed at business travelers, the technology sector, premium leisure passengers, and the Indian diaspora in Europe. It forms part of a broader Lufthansa Group expansion in India, where the group plans to operate over 70 weekly flights in its Winter 2026 schedule.
