Ticket Prices for Walt Disney World Increase Starting with December 9th

News

With new pricing for the one-day, single-park option, Disney World is about to become more expensive during holidays.

All four theme parks will be operating on a variable pricing system, based on demand, date, and park. The previous price for a single-day ticket to a park was $159. The new price will increase to $189 for the most popular park, Magic Kingdom, in peak Christmas and New Years' season.

One-day tickets to Disney's Hollywood Studios will cost $124 to $179, while EPCOT will cost $114 to $179. Disney's Animal Kingdom tickets for one day will continue to be available at the current price of $109-$159.

A spokesperson for Disney World mentioned:

“We continue to focus on providing guests with the best, most memorable Disney experience, and we’re doing that by growing our theme parks with incredible new attractions and offerings," a spokesperson for Disney World shared withTravel + Leisure on Tuesday. "We are also making planning easier with new 1-day tickets that automatically include a guest’s theme park reservation and continue to provide a wide range of options to visit throughout the year, including our lowest priced ticket of $109 which has not changed in more than four years.”

Disney is making changes to its park pass reservation system in conjunction with the ticket increases. A single-day ticket purchased will not be eligible for a pass or ticket. Instead, guests who purchase a single-day tickets will be automatically granted a reservation for a park permit at the time of purchase. All guests visiting Walt Disney World must make a reservation for a park pass.

Also, effective Dec. 8, the prices of Park Hopper Plus and Park Hopper Plus will be based on when they were purchased. At this time, no further information was available.

Annual passes are also more expensive than single-day park admission. The exception is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass. However, Incredi-, Sorcerer and Pirate passes are still available for renewal. The following pass increases have been made: Incredi Pass $1,399 (previously $9299), Sorcerer $869 (previously $799), Pirate $749, (previously $699). Pixie Dust Pass is still at $399

These changes were made in advance of 2023, which will bring the highly anticipated Tron-themed attraction to life. Walt Disney World celebrates its 50th Anniversary with "The World's Most Magical Celebration", which runs through March 31, 2023.
