Virgin Hotels to open two properties in Scotland

Virgin Hotels Edinburgh will be located near The Royal Mile, in the iconic India Buildings, and will feature 225 rooms, restaurants, a coffee shop with a library lounge, a social club and a dedicated gathering space.

The hotel aims to preserve local traditions while featuring modern and luxurious accents. The property will include two rooms with emotional connotations for the owner: the Eve Branson suite, named after Richard Branson’s mother, and Richard's Flat, named after the brand’s founder. The official opening date of the location has not yet been decided.

The second hotel is set to open in Glasgow, the home-town of Branson’s wife Joan, and will be located at 236-246 Clyde Street, next to the River Clyde, St. Enoch Shopping Centre, the Gallery of Modern Art and Glasgow Central station. Virgin Hotels Glasgow will have 242 luxury rooms featuring dressing areas and special sleeping lounges. The location will open later this spring.

Virgin Hotels also owns properties in Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Nashville and New Orleans. Moreover, Virgin Hotels New York City and Virgin Hotels Miami are scheduled for opening during this summer and 2025 respectively.
