Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Resort's Makeover Will Cost Millions of Dollars

The beach-front property was only recently purchased by LionGrove, a major hotel investment group, which prompted the extensive refurbishment that would cost an exorbitant amount of money.

The hotel's guest rooms and public spaces are going to be redesigned in the "Boho chic" aesthetic, which has an unusual combination of different colours, patterns, and textures. The laid-back, globally-inspired approach subverts conventional design conventions to provide a layered, individualised appearance for the property that stands out from the style of other properties on the island.

Luxury facilities and stunning views of the serene, tropical scenery surrounding the resort's Playa, Costa, and Lagos buildings characterise each of the resort's 107 modern guest rooms and suites, whose design was influenced by the area's natural beauty.

Modern and stylish, the enclosed lobby welcomes guests to the resort in style with Boho-inspired furnishings and a bright, airy atmosphere created by the high ceilings, sleek light fixtures, and many windows.

In addition, the hotel has undergone a number of renovations, including the addition of a cigar bar, extensive landscape upgrades, and refurbishments of both the inside ballroom and the outdoor event areas.

Both the glittering Family Pool right in front of Trova's restaurant deck and the chic Costa Infinity Pool can be found on opposite ends of the resort.

Chef Julio Cartagena, a native of Puerto Rico, will be in charge of the culinary vision behind the upcoming opening of Trova Coastal Kitchen, which will feature a harmony of health-conscious and scrumptious flavours created by celebrity chefs Jeff McInnis and Janine Booth, who competed on Top Chef and were finalists for James Beard awards. The name "Trova" comes from a creative bohemian musical style that was developed in the Caribbean by clever lyricists. In a similar vein, Trova Coastal Kitchen provides experiences and sensations that are inventive and indelible in their soulfulness, in order to please your senses and boost your spirit. Each dish is meticulously made using regional, healthful ingredients that are guaranteed to transport diners to the heart and soul of Puerto Rico while they enjoy their meal.

The resort is part of the exclusive gated community of Palmas del Mar and has several outdoor amenities such as two championship golf courses built by golfing greats Gary Player and Rees Jones, the biggest tennis facility in the Caribbean, tennis courts, and an equine centre with trails and access to the resort's own coastline for horse-riding.
