Abu Dhabi tourism geared for all-round growth
Abu Dhabi is the capital of the United Arab Emirates and the second largest city in the state after Dubai. In 200 , the city received the title of the richest city in the world due to rankings conducted by Forbes and CNN, appearing often under this title in the coming years , in numerous international publications. The high living standards and the rapid development of the city based on the oil resources of the area, made it one of the largest and richest city in the world.
Until it become the Emirati capital and center of power of emirs family, as it is today, Abu Dhabi was a simple village where people used to grew deer, hence the name means Father Deer. There followed the colonies of Bedouin era, as they stopped here in crossing the desert, and also seekers of pearls, heading to the Persian Gulf.
The development of the city amid the discovery of oil reserves has come as a boom for Abu Dhabi. Immediately there began to flourish a lot of businesses of all kinds, especially in the central area, which has become an amalgamation of corporations, hotels, museums, hospitals, factories and other buildings all of an established skyscraper type.
Allthe buildings, skyscrapers and other architectural forms of expansion of the city center are tourist attractions that you one must definitely see, but not only. Abu Dhabi is not just about oil, finance and trade, but also Arab culture, religion and tradition. The most important symbol of their Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the most opulent and interesting mosques worldwide. Its construction began in 1996 and although it is not yet ready the mosque now has a capacity of 41,000 people and can be visited daily.
