Air France Brings New La Première Suite to Abidjan from June 22

Airlines & Airports

Air France will introduce its new La Première suite on daily flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Abidjan's Félix Houphouët-Boigny International Airport from June 22, 2026, making it the first sub-Saharan African route to feature the airline's flagship cabin product.

The service is operated by Boeing 777-300ER, with AF702 departing Paris at 13:55 and arriving Abidjan at 18:35, and AF703 departing Abidjan at 21:10 and arriving Paris at 05:45 the following morning.

The new La Première suite features five windows, a fully modular seat and day bed that converts into a two-metre bed, floor-to-ceiling privacy curtains, two 32-inch 4K anti-glare screens, noise-reducing headphones, Bluetooth audio pairing, and a wireless touchscreen tablet for full suite control. Four suites are available per aircraft, each designed to deliver complete privacy and comfort throughout the flight.

To mark the launch, Air France is presenting the new suite at the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire on June 11 and 12, with an exhibition featuring airline heritage items including uniforms designed by Christian Dior, Cristóbal Balenciaga, and Christian Lacroix.

The Abidjan launch also introduces a new culinary collaboration. Chef Mory Sacko, the first Michelin-starred chef to create menus for Air France flights departing from sub-Saharan Africa, has designed twelve original dishes for the La Première cabin on this route. His menu blends African, Japanese, and French influences, with highlights including sea bass cooked in banana leaves with sauce vierge and avocado cream, and chicken in coconut milk with pilaf rice.

The new La Première suite is currently available on Air France flights from Paris to New York-JFK, Los Angeles, Singapore, Boston, San Francisco, and Tokyo-Haneda, with further deployment planned across 19 Boeing 777-300ERs serving 14 destinations in summer 2026.
