Instead of building a futuristic style residence, the owner of Villa East Indies decided to give a chance to people coming around the world to adore the antique Balinese style with colonial touch. This design allows travellers to enjoy the elegance of architecture which became so popular hundreds years ago. Many people doubt that it would be a dull unexciting villa. Yet more travellers said the opposite.

This colonial residence set in Canggu area, in a quiet village named Pererenan. What the dwellers may expect is lush paddy field and sacred Hindu temple surrounded the building. It is worth to invite family and close friends to enjoy the beauty of tranquillity in Canggu. This holiday retreat has a wide tropical garden and spacious building. With four stylishly furnished bedrooms the family members and friends are about to get the best rest. The bedrooms are designed in a classic and colonial flair with the combination of brown wooden classic furniture and white linen. So do the bathrooms, yet white accent is represented by the kinky washbasins. From the master bedroom’s bathroom the dwellers may enjoy bathing while seeing the paddy field. For those who bring children there is a connecting bedroom that parents can check the children every time they want.
The living and dining areas are in the same open-air space cooled by the ceiling fan. There is also fully-equipped kitchen where the dwellers can prepare the meals. However, the chef is ready to cook and serve Asian and Western cuisines on the antique dining table. The management of this villa said that being a host of celebratory diner is their passion and they know how to do it well. For this special diner, canapé and cocktails are the opening. And eventually the dinners will enjoy Indonesian Ristaffel and traditional dance performance.

Balinese traditional accessories such as Garuda wood carving and ancient batik paintings on the wall also play important roles to create antique atmosphere. Golf set dated back to colonial time and Balinese musical instrument are placed in the house giving the dwellers an imagination of living in Indonesian house when the Dutch took control. Some furniture and accessories from colonial era as well as Indonesian artefacts are carefully selected by the owner to create total antique ambiance which is not only stylish but also comfortable.
