British Airways launches St. Louis, Guernsey routes

Airlines & Airports

British Airways has launched two new routes from London Heathrow Airport, expanding its network with services to St. Louis and Guernsey.

The new transatlantic route to St. Louis marks the airline’s 27th destination in the United States. The service operates four times per week during the summer season using Boeing 787 aircraft, offering economy, premium economy and business class cabins.

British Airways said it is currently the only UK airline offering direct flights to St. Louis, strengthening links between London and the US Midwest. The launch coincides with major upcoming events in the region, including celebrations for the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and preparations for international sporting events.

At the same time, the airline has introduced a daily year-round service to Guernsey, providing the only direct connection between the island and Heathrow. The route is expected to boost both tourism and connectivity for residents.

The inaugural flights featured themed touches, including crews with personal connections to the destinations and onboard local specialties for passengers.

The expansion comes as British Airways continues to grow its short- and long-haul network, with additional seasonal routes planned for later in the summer, including services to Tivat in Montenegro.

The airline said the new destinations offer travelers more choice, ranging from long-haul US routes to short regional connections closer to home.
