British Airways Unveils New Loyalty Programme with Limitless Tier Points

British Airways has launched exciting changes to its loyalty programme, now called The British Airways Club, offering more ways than ever to earn Tier Points and rewarding frequent travelers with greater benefits. Starting April 1, 2025, the airline will introduce several new features designed to enhance the overall customer experience.

New Tier Point System for Flights and Extras

From April 2025, members will earn 1 Tier Point for every £1 spent on eligible purchases, including flight costs, seat selection, and excess baggage. This new system replaces the previous model, with recalculated Tier thresholds to reflect the changes.

Earning Tier Points with Sustainable Aviation Fuels

For the first time, Tier Points will be earned by contributing to Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF), with members able to earn up to 1,000 Tier Points per year by making these contributions. They can also use Avios as payment for these contributions.

Limitless Tier Points on British Airways Holidays

Building on the success of a recent promotion, British Airways is introducing a permanent, limitless Tier Points earning option on British Airways Holidays packages. This allows members to earn Tier Points based on the total cost of their holiday package, helping them reach elite status faster.

New Milestone Benefits and Credit Card Earning Opportunities

Later in 2025, British Airways will introduce new milestone benefits between Tiers, starting with Bonus Avios gifts at Bronze and Silver levels. Members will also be able to earn up to 2,500 Tier Points through credit card spending on BA American Express Premium Plus Cards.

Special Offers and Bonuses for Members

To celebrate these updates, British Airways is offering limited-time bonus Tier Points for bookings made before 14 February 2025, for travel starting April 2025. These bonuses will vary by cabin, from Euro Traveller to First.

This overhaul is part of a wider £7bn transformation programme, which includes a new website and app, a revamped First suite, and more. The changes aim to enhance the overall customer experience, ensuring that members are better rewarded for their loyalty.
