Cathay Pacific Resumes Non-Stop Flights to Hyderabad, Strengthening Its Presence in India
Cathay Pacific is resuming its direct passenger flights to Hyderabad, India, starting from 30 March 2025. The new service will operate three times a week, increasing to five times a week starting from 1 September 2025. This marks another milestone for the airline as it continues to expand its presence in India, one of its most important markets.
Cathay Pacific’s Hong Kong-Hyderabad service will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft, offering both Business and Economy class cabins. The flights will connect travelers from Hyderabad to Hong Kong and beyond, providing seamless access to the airline's extensive global network.
Strengthening Connections Between India and Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, Lavinia Lau, expressed excitement about the resumption, stating, “We are delighted to be resuming our direct flights between Hong Kong and Hyderabad. These flights will provide customers with access to one of India’s most vibrant cities, known for its rich heritage and booming technology sector.”
The service will also help enhance cultural connections and facilitate trade between Hong Kong and India, supporting the airline’s efforts to grow Hong Kong as a leading international aviation hub.
Expanding Indian Network
In addition to Hyderabad, Cathay Pacific will operate 43 weekly return flights between Hong Kong and five major Indian cities by September 2025. This includes daily flights to Delhi and Mumbai, daily service to Bengaluru and Chennai, and additional frequencies to Hyderabad.
Currently, Cathay Pacific offers 31 return flights per week to India, with a total of 39 flights per week set for 30 March 2025. This will grow to 43 return flights per week by September 2025, solidifying Cathay Pacific’s position as a key player in connecting India to Hong Kong and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Convenient Transfer Services
Cathay Pacific is also enhancing convenience for travelers with ferry and coach transfer services via the SkyPier Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport. These services allow for smooth transfers to and from destinations in the Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Macao, and Shenzhen, with no need to clear immigration in Hong Kong.
The airline's comprehensive transfer options are especially popular among travelers heading to the Canton Fair, with the Guangzhou Pazhou Ferry Terminal providing easy access to the fair complex.
