First American Cruise Lines Californian voyage to be launched
Charles B. Robertson, the President of American Cruise Lines, commented with the occasion:
“American continues to expand the possibilities for exceptional domestic small ship cruises across the country.
“Exploring this beautiful region of Northern California by riverboat will provide a new opportunity for our guests to discover the Bay area and the Napa Valley in an exceptional way. Many have driven there, but not many can say they have actually cruised through wine country.”
The itinerary will feature an eight-day voyage including San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, Napa Valley, Vallejo, Stockton, Sacramento and the San Joaquin Valley. Passengers will be invited to enjoy a wide range of sailing experiences, like passing by the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Treasure Island, as well as local tours to Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghirardelli Square and Alcatraz.
Moreover, the activities will include a Napa Valley Winery visit, an intense Stockton 99 Speedway driving experience, an immersive tour of Old Sacramento’s underground city and port and a cultural encounter with the California Railroad Museum.
The culinary team aboard of the American cruise ships will entertain guests with daily Wine Country wine presentations and tasting sessions, as well as local Northern Californian cooking demonstrations accompanied by cookbook gifts.
The California journeys are set to debut on February 17, with more departures on February 24, March 3 and March 10. All cruise trips will be served by the American Jazz ship.
