ITA Airways Adds Malaga, Valencia and Marseille
ITA Airways has launched new seasonal routes from Rome Fiumicino to Malaga, Valencia and Marseille as the airline expands its Mediterranean network for the Summer 2026 season.
The new services began on June 1 and will operate daily until September 30, offering direct connections between Rome and three major leisure destinations across Spain and France. Passengers will also have access to onward domestic and international connections through the airline’s Rome Fiumicino hub.
Launch ceremonies were held at the airports of Malaga, Valencia and Marseille to mark the inauguration of the new routes, with airport officials and airline representatives attending the events.
The expansion forms part of a broader summer strategy focused on Mediterranean destinations. The airline has also introduced seasonal routes to Mykonos, Alicante and Trapani, while increasing frequencies on services to Brindisi, Lampedusa, Pantelleria, Palma de Mallorca and Nice. Flights to Tunis have also been strengthened.
Within Italy, new seasonal connections between Olbia and Turin, as well as Olbia and Genoa, have been added for the summer period.
Beyond the Mediterranean network, ITA Airways recently launched twice-daily flights between Rome Fiumicino and London Heathrow and introduced a new direct route to Houston, marking the first non-stop service between the two cities. The Houston route will operate up to five times weekly during the peak summer months.
The airline is also expanding its Asian network, with increased frequencies on routes from Rome to Bangkok and Delhi in response to rising long-haul travel demand.
Tickets for the new destinations are available through the airline’s official sales channels, including its website, mobile app and travel agencies.
